Kat's Kustoms - About Kat
Hi, I'm Kat Palma. I have no heartfelt story about how I got into leatherwork. It’s actually pretty simple. My husband Joe builds choppers in our garage, and he told me that if I wanted to hang out, I’d better be doing something.
We both wanted custom leather stuff for our bikes, and so he suggested I give it a shot. And I did. And turns out, I found my niche.
I've always been "an artist" in one way or another: drawing, painting, sculpting, drawing tattoos, etc. Creating custom items, whether it is a hand-tooled leather wallet or a hand-carved seat for your custom chopper, I am constantly fascinated by the craft of leather work. I love the idea of taking what someone wants and translating that into an original work of art.
I'll try whatever looks cool. I don't just tool the leather either. I burn it, paint it, dye it, mold it...anything I can try to give you a super-custom seat or accessory!
If you are looking for a one of a kind item, then please, contact me! I will be happy to listen to your ideas or come up with something to surprise you. See what I can do for you!
*Please note: I am not a shop, and do not have a storefront. I have a home shop, and meet clientele off-site at MainStreet Motorcycle (9750 E. Main St., Mesa) by appointment only. Thanks!
